  • Why I can't download videos?
    • Check if you have internet connection: open your browser and try to load any page.
    • Ensure you copied the correct YouTube video link. Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0.
    • Ensure the site you downloading from is actually one that we support and you are not trying to download a broadcast or protected video.
  • Where can I find the downloaded videos?
    Once the download is finished, you can find the File icon next to the YouTube video. Click on it and the program will redirect you to the downloaded file location.
  • There is no sound for the downloaded video?
    If you encounter sound issues with the downloaded video, please update your media player codecs. We recommend you to play the video with Windows 10 default player.
  • Can I download videos from other sites except YouTube?
    Yes, ClipDown supports a large range of websites and has been tested to download videos from YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr, Dailymotion, etc. Facebook and Instagram are currently not supported.
  • Is ClipDown safe to use?
    Yes, ClipDown is 100% safe and clean, no virus or adware. It is verified by Norton and McAfee, and would not get any information from the customers.
  • Which operating systems are supported?
    ClipDown currently works on Windows 10 64-bit. Support for Windows 10 32-bit and macOS will arrive soon.

Troubleshooting
  • How can I activate my license?
    If you're using the trial version of ClipDown and want to activate the full version to download unlimited videos, just click on the drop-down menu icon in the upper right and choose “Register”, then enter your email address and the license key.
  • I'm unable to activate my license, what can I do?
    Please make sure that you're connected to the internet when activating the license. We suggest you copy and paste the license key into the box, ensure there is no space at the beginning and the end of the code. If you still face issues, send us an email at support@clipdown.org.
  • Does the license expire?
    If you've purchased the lifetime license, it will never expire. For 1-Month and 1-Year license, it will expire if you cancel the subscription.
  • Can I cancel the subscription myself?
    Yes, you can cancel the subscription at anytime by yourself. Please go to https://account.mycommerce.com/, login your account and click “Cancel the subscription”.
  • When will I receive the license key after buying?
    Once your order is successfully placed, the license key will be sent to the email address that you used to place the order within 1-2 hour. However, sometimes the arrival of this email may be delayed due to internet or system glitches, email spam settings, etc. If you haven’t received the license key within 4 hours, please contact us via support@clipdown.org for help.
  • Can I transfer the license to another computer?
    Yes, you can transfer the license to another computer. Please send us an email at support@clipdown.org for help.
  • If I update or erase the computer, can I activate using the same license key?
    If you've updated or reinstall the computer system, the license key will be invalid. Please reach out ot us at support@clipdown.org to reactivate the license key.
  • How can I report a problem?
    To report a problem, submit a feedback or suggest new ideas, please email us at support@clipdown.org.
